Fans of books by Jack Weyland and Lurlene McDaniel will adore this beautiful story of miracles, love, God, and never giving up. When young and successful Matt realizes his health is going downhill, he decides he doesn't want to be alone through it. So he hatches the plan to propose to Mikaela, a nurse who is technically a stranger. "The greatest pain isn't your own, but that which comes from watching someone you love suffer." 

I couldn't believe how much this story touched me. A book hasn't affected me this strongly since I went through my phase of daily crying along with Lurlene McDaniel books back in high school. Love on a Limb is filled with love, hope, and faith. It is a great book to read at Christmas time, but also anytime during the year (which leads us to the fact that I just read it at the beginning of July haha). Laurie Lewis does a wonderful job of showing how hope and love can lead to miracles as long as you keep fighting. 

Be prepared to have tissues while reading because you will have some tears of all sorts, but trust me its well worth reading and you won't be disappointed. My favorite thing about Love on a Limb is that instead of focusing strictly on illness and suffering, like many similar books would, this one focused on having hope that things will get better and also on making the best of every situation.
