Fans of shows such as Revenge, Psych, and Blacklist will love this intense story of love, missing persons, and staying strong when you feel like giving up. Fair warning, you will have a hard time putting this book down and chances are, you will have dreams at night that you are part of it.

When Patrick Daley heads home to Sacramento with their travelling circus, he fully plans to solve his mother's missing person case. However, when someone doesn't want you knowing what they know, people have a way of making you disappear.

I enjoyed Prisoner of Lazarev so much. It was intense, fun, and so much suspense/mystery. The first book in the series was good, but this one was AMAZING. I now HAVE to read the rest of the books in the series, it's too good to skip them. This story keeps you guessing and is nice because it's more difficult to predict the ending and keeps the suspense up through the last chapter even. Ellie Thornton does a lovely job writing her books and it's amazing to see the different aspect of her writing style show so well. I highly reccomend this book, this series, and all of Ellie Thornton's books.

Prisoner of Lazerev touches on some very difficult subjects such as murder, kidnapping, sex trafficking, slavery, and other subjects. However, author Ellie Thornton does an amazing job of keeping them in respectful terms that aren't too "in your face" and are easier to read (normally I struggle reading stories with those subjects, but it's all written in such a way that it is focused more on destroying that rather than participating in it, so it didn't bug me at all, but it is still something to be aware of and read with caution if you don't handle those scenarios well, it DOES NOT go into deep details of any of it.)
