Springtime is becoming the best part of Harvest Ranch, its beautiful, romantic, and so many great
adventures are out there. In Beehives and Broken Heroes, the fiery and strong headed Allie is running
Sticky and Sweet following the breakup of her ex fiance. She, like many times in my past, has sworn
off guys completely and decides to learn how to be happier while single. That is of course, until
Brandon comes into the picture and invests in her business.
This is my absolute favorite book in the Harvest Ranch series so far, and possibly even of all time.
Ellie Thornton did such a lovely job portraying all of the characters, the back and forth sass, the action
scenes, and building up to everything. So sorry to His Small Town Fresh Start, but Ellie just kicked your
butt on this one. This story has everything I love in books. The romance was beyond swoony, adorable,
and so cheesy. It is the type many girls dream about happening in their own lives. It made my heart race
, not just with romance, but with the action in it (and no...not that type of action, it isn’t that type of book
haha). I had such a hard time putting Beehives and Broken heroes down just to get stuff done, thank
heavens for coloring books and Daniel Tiger (that kept my little one entertained for a whole hour!). The
chemistry was amazing in this and I truly felt I was there enjoying every second. I love the family
dynamic with Allie and Jo as well, it is just so adorable and gave me some serious Bride Wars vibes
at a few points (the cute points, not the whole trying to ruin each other's lives and weddings). Reading
this book was like falling in love for the first time, your heart races, you can’t stop smiling, and you want
to just tell EVERYONE about it, and it will always be in your life no matter how many other books you
bring into your bookshelf (okay, i just pictured that very strangely with guys I have dated...maybe I
shouldn’t have stayed up all night last night haha).
This series is becoming just a big part of my life. I'm about ready to pack up and move to Harvest
Ranch, or you know, convince everyone in my small town that we need to replicate it
(hmmmm….maybe I need to make a few calls). I can’t believe how amazing all of these authors are,
but Ellie Thornton really just outdid all of the others and just made this series burst at its seams of
swoony cuteness that make me want to reread it over and over. I promise if you read this book, you
will want to read all of them and fall in love with Harvest Ranch and every single character (yes even
the goofy odd ones). So please check out Beehives and Broken Heroes, along with the rest of the
Harvest Ranch stories, because I promise you that Brandon and Allie will make you believe in fairytale
love again.
