Harriet leaves her small town to accept a position of governess in London. But when the Duchess noticed that she resembles her daughter Virginia, she is offered a role she never could have imagined on her own.

Being new to books set in the 1800s I was pleasantly surprised. I adored the classy smoothness of this book. Everything flowed well, characters were wonderful and distinct, and emotions were so strong I felt like I was having them myself. A Stage For Harriet was a wonderful and refreshing change of pace.

I truly enjoyed reading this book and love how wonderfully written it was by author Mary-Celeste Ricks. I look forward to reading more by her and highly recommend reading A Stage For Harriet. It was cute, classic, wholesome, and had a few intense moments that were completely entrancing. It is an easy read, even for someone new to more historical/ royal type writing.
