Falling For a Mermaid is a fun, cute read that will give you vibes of the movie Aquamarine (which used to be one of my favorites). I love how many references to pop culture, you really get an idea of the author Christina Herrera and what makes her happy. This is a great book for teens, young adults, and even adults. 

I did have a difficult time with a few things in this story. I felt that Ella's character was a little....I'm not sure how to word it. She just rubbed me wrong and seemed to always be finding problems and causing drama. Her friendship/relationship with William seemed pretty forced through most of the book, but you get pretty sucked into the story that you may not even notice. Even with those (which are just my opinion), it's a wonderful book that will have you daydreaming of summer, swimming, and waking up as a mermaid one day.

Falling For a Mermaid is a cute read and I do recommend reading it just for a fun little break from life. If you are into books that don't have the high school/teenager drama, this book may not be for you. But if you don't mind and are fascisted with mermaids, you'll enjoy it. I know I enjoyed reading it, it was a great break from the cookie cutter romances I have been seeing when searching for new books.
