Cassie is just having a miserable time without a job, a not so great ex, and it’s getting closer to Christmas time. However, she gets called to go look over a will, she doesn’t look forward to it at all, especially when she sees the clause in the will.
Everyone has a background and history. Sometimes when you don't know the full story of your own history, you can be in for some big surprises. It was so enjoyable to read this story and see how she learned more about her past as well as created a beautiful future. It's also a great read to get some ideas for holiday traditions. Rachael Bloome wrote such a beautiful story to get you really in the mood for Christmas time. She really knows how to write wonderful sweet romance stories.
I also loved how this story was able to capture the lives of so many characters in the town of Poppy Creek. It wasn’t just light brush overs of everyone, but you got to know them, their history, their stories, and often their likes/dislikes. These details she added truly made me feel like I was there in Poppy Creek along with Cassie.
